Being described as “the bonniest yacht that ever came out of Fife’s yard” is perhaps due to her bein Yard #828, the last yacht to be both designed by the final member of the Fife dynasty.  His nephew, Robert Balderston Fife, also had a hand in the design.

Madrigal was built for a Glasgow-based yachtsman named Campbell Paterson, who wanted a fast cruiser.  Over the years she has prove her pedigree by winning races and has stood the test of time.

In 2003 she was bought by father and son, Ashley and Sebastian Devonshire, who based her in Ibiza.  She is now used and treasured as a family boat.
